Kraken, a crypto-exchange based in the United States, has lately made a collaboration with the Etana Custody. The latest merger will allow the firm to make deposits and withdrawal for five major fiat currencies. These include U.S. dollars (USD), Euro (EUR), Canadian dollar (CAD), British Pound (GBP), and the Japanese Yen (JPY).
As per the official announcement from the blog post on July 29, the new collaboration will allow Kraken's global customer base access to the above funding options.
Unfortunately, the latest funding options are not available for standard "starter" accounts. Only "Intermediate" and "Pro" accounts will receive the benefit. To use this feature, the traders have to utilize the Etana Custody Wallet and to register a bank account which will wire the money to buy tokens. It may take around 1-5 business days to receive the tokens because the wire transfers are generally slow.
Apart from funding support, the partnership with Etana will offer Kraken clients with a conversation between any of the five fiat currencies, the announcement states.
It also states that this partnership allows users to access the market through Meta Trader platforms without issues.
Etana Custody is a firm based out in Auckland which provides crypto custodian services to its clients. Kraken is one of the most popular names when we talk about crypto exchanges in the world. On Kraken, 24 crypto tokens are listed that create 74 unique listing pairs.
Various crypto exchanges around the world have started to accept fiat currencies. Recently, Bitstamp, one of the leading European exchange has started to accept GBP. This is great, especially now as Brexit is about to happen as it will connect the U.K. to European clients.
Swiss-integrated crypto exchange Smart Valor has initiated trading of four fiat currencies with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). The platform plans to support long-term deposits of fiat currencies and to launch a CHF-based stablecoin.
